Founded in 2014, BladeDoc® Network was incorporated as a bespoke health and sports systems development firm and has been in operation since 2019 at the forefront of delivering specialized medical and surgical consultancy services in Africa.
Our strength is conceptualizing, designing, constructing and implementing bespoke health systems to support clients’ special requirements.
This includes trauma response service, emergency evacuation and surgery service in austere environments, critical care, capacity building through training and delivery of comprehensive medical support services in sports.
Our Surgery systems portfolio includes services delivered in Erigavo, Somaliland and Garowe, Puntland State of Somalia.
Our sporting portfolio include major sporting meets including international, regional and local motorsport (WRC Safari Rally Kenya, Africa Rally Championships (ARC), Kenya National Rally Championship (KNRC) and motorcycle events (MX of Africa Nations MXOAN, Central Africa Continental events (CAC), Motorcross MX, Enduro, CCR Superbike events), World Athletics Under 20 Championships, PGA Ladies European Tour Golf event and Africa Ball Games Qualifiers.
Our IT based systems in health and sports include Rising Stars Africa Program, a boda-boda grass root behaviour transformation initiative, Amalgamate MEDIC – A referral system for healthcare givers and service providers and Amalgamate Sports Africa – a cloud-based medical examinations record and Injury surveillance system for athletes in clubs in competitive sports.
Dr Karuri took the directors through the history of BladeDoc Network from 2007 – date. The etymology of the name was shared and how it evolved with time.
Starting off as a business name under the founder and the related programs including the BladeDoc Riding School, The BladeDoc Racing team, Doctored TrackDayz, The BladeDoc Fan Club before finally incorporation in 2019 as BladeDoc Network LTD.
The company is currently a bespoke systems development firm innovating for communities and integrating health and sports systems.
Dr Karuri also informed the board that BladeDoc Foundation has been birth in 2023 as company limited by guarantee.

From setting up advanced ICU facilities in West Pokot to supporting international sports events like the World Rally Championship and PGA Ladies European Tour, Blade Surgery has a proven track record of success.
We have also trained hundreds of professionals and implemented groundbreaking grassroots programs like the Rising Stars Africa Program for community transformation.
